I’ll try answer your questins so far, yeah?
loopylou74, you’ve just asked some difficult questions.. i think our songs take more influence from experience, rather than just bands, and i guess just touring with any really respected bands would be great. We toured with Example earlier this year, and they were all mad, but it was fun.. we’re about to tour with Kid British aswell, so that’ll be great!!
I think our favourite gig so far.. it’s hard to pin point cos gigs are good for different reasons. You can play to like 30 people, and have more fun than playing to 200, depends on the vibe of the crowd, but yes kiah, you’re right, Newcastle has been one of our favourite places to play..
i’d say our worst gig was in Swindon… we were all hungover, and disappointed to have our smallest crowd ever, and then they decided they hated us, and started calling us names… :( HAHA.
kiah, elliot was nicknamed “doreen” cos one time he had a hairstyle that might aswell have been modeled on an old woman, so the most fitting name at the time was “Doreen”... so it stuck! He doesnt let us call him it anymore though… :(
Matthew!! We’ve just announced a tour right now, as i said earlier, supporting Kid British. There are a few gaps which we’re trying to fill with other cities, but it can be hard when you have such specific dates.. i’m sure we’ll be touring after that ourselves, though, and try and hit the places we missed before.
Favourite song to play live… well, Absolutely Wankered always makes people go mad, and that just makes you feel invincible.. but we all love the songs you guys haven’t really heard yet, cos they’re still fresh and new… We’ve just been signed to Virgin, on EMI so we pretty much pitched them the album and that sorta worked… :P
In the past we’ve supported Lethal Bizzle, who was a really lovely man- shook my mum’s hand and introduced himself as “maxwell”- was cute… err, Friendly Fires- i drunkardly shouted some of the Paris lyrics to them and they looked me up and down and went back to their conversation… Supported Late of the Pier… they didn’t like us. At all.. :( And then, yeah, Example on the last tour. Got on with them well, but they party so hard, is mad!
James writes all the songs you guys have heard, but theres more coming from other members. I think the first song he ever wrote was about a worm? but second minute hour was the first proper flambo song.

Hey Matthew! Thanks for the congrats! It’s taken ages, but we’re so glad to have got it done now! Means, we can move further with everything we’ve been waiting for, for ages… i.e the album… ;)
The album is almost finished. The finishing touches etc take months so it’s been a hard slog, but we’re gettin there.
Hopefully, we’ll get back to Newcastle before the year’s out. We hope anyway :D

Wow, i always make an effort to never cuss other bands, as its mean, and it comes back to hit you in the bum later on down the line.. i dunno, im very temperamental with my taste in music. Like, for example, i used to think La Roux was poo, but now i think they’re the most played in the old i-tunes!! One thing i haven’t been diggin on is Florence and the Machine?.. err, cant really get used to her voice yet.. i know people say my voice is grating, but… i think their songs are brill! I did download their album today, so i will tuck into that before bedtime…
Err, bands i like… Sigur Ros, Radiohead, The Bird and the Bee, Jack Penate (mainly cos word on the street is that we’re gonna get married one day….) err, lovin that new Calvin Harris tune- he’s a bit clever, no? got the Temper Trap album yesterday- that’s insanely good. Just saw them at Reading too, and it was a bit emotional.. brilliant!! :)

and yeah someone introduced me to the temper trap the other day and theyre goood.

hey Embemm… good screen name… err, we dont have one planned yet, but we are gonna be back out on the road after this tour with Kid B. We do love a bit of birmingham, so i’m sure it’ll happen :)

Err, i do have to think hard when you ask me who i saw…
FRiendly Fires, Jack Penate, The Temper Trap, Faith No More( not Kings of Leon and their atrocious attitude problems!) err, saw a bit of Maccabees but left after a few songs to go back to the bar, then Prodigy, ofcourse!, then Bloc Party and Radiohead.. i missed so much i wanted to see, but had so much fun at the bar and back at our campsite. :)

friendly fires are fantastic, love ed’s dancing.
i was expecting example to be a bit rubbish, but the wonky pop gig was so much fun, especially for a saturday gig and quite a small crowd :)
apologies for not using capital letters, it’s a horrendous habit and it makes everything difficult to read, but i cba to go back and sort it all out now.
the new mix of get a reaction’s started to grow on me, i’m sorry for being fussy and saying ‘oh, well why can’t you use the old version, it was much better’, i felt really bad about that. and in response to the question ‘how does one fuck a radio?’, the answer is very carefully, else you’ll get electrocuted, :) i love the video, i was creased at it.
i’d love to hear james’s worm song, sounds like it would be interesting!

i might be able to get to the sheffield date on the kid british tour, depends on money/6th form work/my ability to fool my parents into thinking i’m staying at a friend’s house (the last part’s the easiest!)
